Daniel Sees Visions

The Book of Daniel was circulated privately from hand to hand among the Jews who had returned from the exile in Babylon, but who didn't include it with the books of the Old Testament until after the death of Jesus.

The Jews saw Daniel as a story of hope about a Messiah who would save them from their sins. The key passage lies in chapter 7, verses 13 and 14.

The early Christians recognized that Messiah as Jesus. Believing that the book clearly pointed toward Jesus' life and ministry, they placed Daniel near the end of the Old Testament.

Some of the stories in the book are mystical, but they all clearly show the power and good will of God.
