This bulletin board is a good exercise in mapping. If you can find an accurate map of your community in an appropriate size, that's the best place to start. Otherwise, lay out a rough grid of the church's neighborhood, indicating major cross streets, and including a clear representation of the church. (Some people may live so far away that they may come from outside the bulletin board.)
Have the children make representations of their dwellings, remembering that labeling them clearly (and decoratively) with their names is the most important part.
Let them map out their paths to church with cords or ribbons, using pins or staples to hold them in place.
