Fifth Sunday of Epiphany

He Renews Our Hopes and Heals Our Bodies

Psalm 147: 3

The year of Mark spends this entire season of Epiphany reading about the healings of Jesus.

A Latin tradition is to make small images (called milagros) of the healed parts of the body in thanksgiving to God for his healing.

Ask the children to think about how God has healed them - either physically (broken bones, headaches and so on) or socially (friendships and family difficulties) or spiritually (a right relationship with God).

Let them make small images from bakeable clay, or make edible milagros from the marzipan recipe.
