John 10: 14 is a wonderful verse to teach to the children.

Copy the cover on white card stock. Cut the sheep shapes from polyester batting (cotton balls make really fluffy sheep) and glue to the cover. Decorate with gold markers or gold formex film.

Gold chain follows the shape of the shepherd's crook easily, and can be glued to the cover as well.
