All Saints Day

The Lord Will Prepare a Feast of Finest Foods

Isaiah 25: 6

Christians use this passage as one of the earliest images of the life to come, our lives in heaven when we are reunited with Jesus in a glorious banquet.

This passage also reminds us of the Feast of the Passover, when the Lord saved the first-born children of the Israelites, and of the bread and wine of Holy Communion.

Put up a green background and the banner.

Let the children make their favorite foods from fun foam or construction paper, and lead a discussion on how all good things come from God.

This might be a good day to have an actual feast of good foods, including the marrow bones of the King James translation.

And all feasts begin with thankfulness and table graces.

Grace for All Saints' Sunday

See our faces 'round the table

See our bodies, strong and able

Lift our voices, sing your praise

Thank you, Lord, for all our days.

Amen
