All Saints Day

You Will Shine Like the Sun

Psalm 34: 5

Sunflowers are of Northern European origin - sunflower seeds and their oil are a staple of the Russian diet.

But the image of a flower which turns its face toward the sun all day long, just as we turn our faces to follow Jesus is a nice idea for us to consider.

Put up the background and the banner. Use rounds of cork for the centers of the flowers, and use leftover scraps of gold ribbon from the petals.

If you like, glue a photograph of each child in the center of each flower - or a photograph of each of the faithful departed that we give thanks for on this day.
