Twenty-fourth Sunday of Pentecost

You Put Songs in My Heart Because You Have Saved Me

Psalm 32: 7

Many of us see Lent as a somber season of repentance - a turning away from doing and thinking bad things.

But Lent is also a joyful time as we remember our freedom from slavery and sing "Go Down, Moses" ("Let My People Go") With One Voice 670, give thanks for Jesus' willingness to die for us and sing "Lord of the Dance," and remember Jesus' gift of Holy Communion and sing "Eat This Bread, Drink This Cup" With One Voice 706.

Copy the verse on lavender or purple card stock, and use your leftover valentine materials to make the heart. Lace doilies are always good, and tissue paper, fun foam, fabric, ribbons, and buttons make beautiful hearts - they don't have to all be red or pink, either.

Add some musical notes, and sing loud. We have lots to sing about.
