Eighteenth Sunday of Pentecost
Don't Worry About Anything, but Pray about Everything
Philippians 4: 6
Many Christians use beads to count their blessings or prayers - the Orthodox use worry beads, and Roman Catholics use the Rosary.
We will make a simple bracelet of beads that we can use at bedtime - or any time - to count the blessings of the day.
Make any number of beads from paper or bakeable clay - or you can buy wooden or metal beads at the craft store. String them on a very strong piece of elastic cord and fasten securely.
Adding the butterfly, the symbol of the risen Christ, is a nice touch.
And use the bracelet as a way of counting God's blessings as we give thanks at the end of the day.
